Asphalt is a kind of complicated high molecular hydrocarbons, road paved with asphalt is seamless and continuous, but under high temperature and ultra-violet aging problem will occur. So modifier needed is mainly for the purpose to improve road conditions uder different temperatures.
With the increasing of traffic, there has been higher and higher requirements on road. Normal asphalt is very fragile in low temperature and too soft in high temperature, deformation, movement and wheel tracking will occur under busy traffic, so it is difficult for road to function as expected. To solve those problems, asphalt modified with nano calcium carbonate is the solution, and properties, like resistance to high temperature, anti slippy, and wear resistance, durability, and heavy load can be achieved.
Characteristics of modified asphalt:
1. Resistance to high and low temperature, effectively increase elasticity and flexibility, cracking resistance under low temperature can be realized.
2. High in flexibility, anti-fatigue, and increase in road load, hence avoid road deformation, and anti-cracking under low temperature.
3. Water-proof, anti-oil and UV, hence effectively prolong aging problem.
4. Stable in property, long duration and low maintenance cost.
5. Reduce asphalt cost greatly.
